Product Information
The Triton Audio Phantom Blocker is an in–line XLR adapter that strips P48 phantom power from one end of the connection while passing audio signal freely in both directions. Built for protection, it sits between microphones—particularly ribbon types—and preamps or mixing desks that can’t tolerate phantom power on their inputs. A compact, passive device with no batteries or electronics, it does one job with precision.
Measuring 76 mm tall and 22 mm in diameter, the Phantom Blocker weighs just 55 grams and connects via balanced XLR on both ends. Phantom power applied to either the male or female XLR side is blocked completely; audio passes through unaffected. It protects ribbon microphones, vintage preamp inputs sensitive to phantom voltage, and unbalanced TRS–to–XLR cables that can short transformers when plugged into phantom–enabled inputs. It’s also essential when feeding audio from an interface or outboard device into a desk with phantom power permanently switched on.
