Product Information
The Stylophone CPM DS–2 is an analogue drone synthesiser designed for creating evolving soundscapes and ambient textures. Developed by Dubreq under the Circuit Path Modular banner, this compact instrument expands the classic Stylophone concept into territory occupied by meditation drones, harmonic layering and experimental sound design. The DS–2 features dual oscillators that can be tuned independently, allowing microtonal intervals and beating harmonics that shift organically over time.
Two voltage–controlled oscillators generate sawtooth and square waveforms across a wide frequency range, each with dedicated pitch controls and a shared LFO for modulation. The filter section provides resonant low–pass filtering to shape tonal character, while the onboard LFO can modulate both pitch and filter cutoff at variable rates. Outputs include a 3.5mm headphone jack and line–level output for recording or amplification. The DS–2 runs on four AAA batteries or external 6V DC power, housed in a powder–coated steel enclosure measuring approximately 152mm wide. All controls are panel–mounted potentiometers and switches for hands–on parameter adjustment during performance or recording sessions.
