Product Information
The Meris Ottobit X is a stereo modular degradation and texture engine that resurrects '80s lo–fi aesthetics through 11 processing categories. Built in California with a premium analogue signal path, 24–bit AD/DA conversion, and 32–bit floating–point DSP, this pedal pairs Vintage gaming–inspired sound design with modern sequencing and real–time performance control. The standout Wikki Wikki effect delivers true vinyl scratching with loop, break and backspin—a feature absent from its predecessors, the Ottobit Jr. and Sr.
Six glitch types (Grain Freeze, Stutter, Push Loop, Wikki Wikki, Tape Stop, Stutter Step), three filter topologies (Ladder, State Variable, Otto Tron), and dual VHS Delay/Reverb engines with variable playspeed create vast textural possibilities. The colour touchscreen interface—borrowed from the LVX and Mercury X—controls 99 presets across 33 banks, 16–step sequencing assignable to 48 parameters, and a Deep Modifier section routing expression to multiple targets simultaneously. Stereo I/O handles instrument (+9 dBu) or line/synth levels (+12.5 dBu); MIDI I/O arrives via Din jacks or USB–C, with dedicated expression pedal input and selectable true bypass or buffered bypass.
The Hold Modifier switch enables real–time performance tweaks without leaving your preset, while the Favorite Bank pins three go–to sounds for instant access. Dimensions are 7.25” wide × 4.5” deep × 2” tall; power draw sits at 300–mA from a standard 9V DC centre–negative supply. Available in Matte Black or Limited Edition Multidimensional Pink (final sale, no returns).
