Product Information
The JBL KX190 is a professional–grade digital audio processor engineered for high–output live sound applications where precision signal routing and real–time sonic shaping are non–negotiable. Built on decades of JBL’s pro audio heritage, this unit trades single–use karaoke limitations for a genuinely flexible processing platform. Its 32–bit/40–bit floating–point DSP engine and 24–bit/48 kHz conversion path deliver transparent, low–distortion audio suited to critical monitoring and main system outputs.
Signal architecture centres on six independent output channels: Left, Right, Centre, Surround Left/Right, and Subwoofer, each with dedicated compression and parametric EQ (10–band on mains, 7–band on surround, 5–band on sub). Audio inputs span three unbalanced microphone channels, RCA line inputs (10 kΩ impedance, +8.3 dBu nominal), and an EXT high–level input accepting +20.3 dBu (8 Vrms)–critical when patching hot DJ or synthesiser outputs into the chain. Frequency response holds ±1.0 dB across 20 Hz–20 kHz; THD+N measures <0.06% with dynamic range exceeding 100 dB. USB 2.0 connectivity and PC GUI software allow preset saving and real–time parameter control.
Live sound engineers and club installers can exploit the KX190’s multi–band parametric toolset to sculpt both music and microphone signals independently before distribution to powered speakers or powered monitors. The 15–band PEQ on music input, three feedback–inhibition tiers per mic channel, and separately processed echo/reverb engine grant the surgical control necessary in untreated or acoustically hostile rooms. XLR outputs (50 Ω impedance, +14.2 dBu max) and RCA pairs deliver hot, balanced gain to amplifiers without additional buffers; the compact 485 × 205 × 47 mm footprint and 2.8 kg weight slot easily into portable touring rigs or fixed installations.
