Product Information
JBL positions the 306P MkIII as the sweet spot in the 3 Series lineup, offering more low-frequency reach and output than the 305P without the desk real estate demands of the 308P. This 6.5-inch powered studio monitor delivers bass extension down to 43 Hz, backed by 110 watts of bi-amplified Class D power that peaks at 112 dB SPL. The redesigned woofer combines a stiffer cone with a 20 oz magnet assembly and aluminium shorting ring to reduce distortion, while the front-firing Slipstream port maintains predictable behaviour whether the monitor sits on a desk, stand, or close to a wall.
The high-frequency driver has been re-engineered to work with JBL's Image Control Waveguide, maintaining a consistent 120 x 90 degree coverage pattern that widens the listening area and sharpens stereo imaging. The balanced Neutrik combo input accepts XLR or TRS connections, with selectable +4 dBu / -10 dBV input sensitivity for straightforward integration with mixers, interfaces, and other studio gear. Four one-touch controls provide 81 corrective EQ combinations to compensate for desk or stand placement, wall proximity, and tonal adjustments.
Eight integrated M4 mounting points and a 75 x 75 mm pattern enable flexible installation options beyond standard stereo pairs. The monitor can integrate into a 2.1 system with the 310S MkIII subwoofer or expand into larger surround and spatial audio configurations. This mounting flexibility means the same speaker handles tracking, mixing, and multichannel setups without requiring different models for different roles.
