JBL 305P MKIII 5" Powered 2-Way Studio Monitor (Pair)

The smallest monitor in JBL's 3 Series MkIII lineup carries a redesigned high-frequency driver paired with a re-engineered Image Control Waveguide that widens the listening area and sharpens stereo imaging across small desks and shared workstations. This 5-inch powered 2-way studio monitor addresses the space constraints of project studios, home setups, edit bays and podcast rooms where desk real estate is tight but monitoring decisions still need to translate across systems. Bass response extends down to 45 Hz thanks to a stiffer cone material, a new 20 oz magnet assembly, and an aluminium shorting ring that reduces distortion in the low end.

An 86-watt bi-amplified Class D amplifier drives the system to 109 dB peak SPL with headroom for transient-heavy material. The front-firing Slipstream port keeps low-frequency output predictable when the cabinet sits near walls or surfaces, and the balanced Neutrik combo input accepts both XLR and TRS connectors with selectable +4 dBu or -10 dBV sensitivity for quick integration with mixers, interfaces and controllers. Four one-touch controls on the rear panel provide 81 corrective EQ combinations to adjust for placement, wall proximity, and high/low frequency balance without software or dip switches.

Eight integrated M4 mounting points arranged in a 75 x 75 mm pattern allow the 305P MkIII to move from desktop placement into elevated, inverted or multi-channel configurations as studio requirements expand. The cabinet dimensions and mounting compatibility support 2.1, surround and height-channel applications without requiring separate brackets or adapters. Frequency response spans 45 Hz to 25 kHz, and the waveguide maintains consistent off-axis response across a broader listening window than previous-generation designs.
