Erica Synths 7-Voice Sampling Drum Machine w/ Built in Mic / Speaker & CV Control

The Erica Synths Bullfrog Drums is a 7-voice sample-based drum machine built for hands-on programming in studio and live contexts. Housed in a signature aluminium enclosure and measuring 40.5 × 18.5 × 6 cm, it combines sampling, sequencing, and CV control in a single unit. Pre-loaded with 7 banks of factory samples curated by Richie Hawtin and the Erica Synths team, the machine supports up to 16 user sample banks across 64 MB of total memory, making it a genuine workstation for sound design rather than a fixed percussion instrument.

The sequencer employs an X0X-style interface with hands-on step programming, capable of storing 4 banks with 16 patterns each and 4 banks with 16 kits, backed up via USB-C. Each of the 7 voices features individual level controls, 7 parameters for sample manipulation, and parameter locks plus automations per track. Up to 64-step sequences support ratchets, probabilities, and microtiming for performance control. Connectivity includes MIDI IN and OUT via both DIN and USB-C, stereo line output, 3.5 mm headphones jack, and a built-in microphone alongside line input for real-time sampling. The integrated speaker and 12 VDC power adapter round out a self-contained system, whilst CV/gate sequencer output provides direct synthesiser control at 1V/Oct.
