Product Information
The Intimidator Spot 475ZX2 is a 250W LED moving head designed by Chauvet DJ for mobile entertainers and production companies requiring motorised zoom alongside reliable DMX control. Its standout feature is a motorised zoom range that shifts from tight 10–degree beam angles through to wide 32–degree coverage, giving operators the flexibility to sculpt throw distance and stage coverage without swapping fixtures. The unit accepts both 3–pin and 5–pin DMX connections, streamlining integration into existing lighting rigs.
Powered by a 250W LED engine, the fixture delivers bright output across a rotating colour wheel housing eight colours plus white and split–colour options. The gobo system includes two wheels: one static wheel with nine patterns plus open, and a rotating wheel offering seven patterns plus open for dynamic aerial effects. Pan and tilt ranges span 540 and 270 degrees respectively, with 16–bit movement resolution for smooth positioning. The unit also features electronic dimming from 0 to 100 percent and a variable speed shutter for strobe effects.
Onboard control options include DMX, master/slave, and sound–active modes, with an illuminated LCD display for menu navigation and fixture addressing. The motorised zoom mechanism allows real–time adjustments during programming or live performance without manual intervention. PowerCON–compatible power input and output sockets allow for daisy–chaining multiple fixtures from a single power source, reducing cable runs across stages and truss installations. The housing measures 352mm tall by 247mm wide, with a weight specification that suits standard truss mounting and road cases.
