Product Information
Audio Technica's ATV-SG1LE is a compact shotgun microphone engineered for on-camera use without the typical trade-offs of plug-in–power designs. Rather than sacrificing audio fidelity for convenience, the ATV-SG1LE retains the signal characteristics of battery–powered condensers, delivering an extended frequency response and high maximum sound pressure level. The TRS cable integrates directly into DSLR, mirrorless, and compact camera inputs, making it practical for content creators and location recording.
Built around a permanently polarised condenser element with a line–plus–gradient polar pattern, the microphone captures a maximum input level of 114 dB SPL whilst maintaining a signal–to–noise ratio of 82.5 dB (A–weighted). Frequency response spans 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with open–circuit sensitivity of –38 dBV and a dynamic range of 102.5 dB. Plug–in power draws between 1.5 and 5.0 volts from the camera itself, eliminating the need for separate batteries. The unit weighs approximately 100 g, measures 127.1 mm in length, and ships with a coiled TRS cable (extending to 50 cm) and exclusive windscreen.
