ADAM Audio H715 Open Back Studio Reference Headphones

Titanium-plated PEN drivers with 150 ohm impedance and a 9Hz–40kHz frequency response make these open-back reference headphones from ADAM Audio a tool for mixing and mastering rather than casual monitoring. The H715 Reference achieves THD below 0.05% at 100dB SPL and reaches 113dB maximum output, giving producers and engineers serious headroom for detailed critical work. At 302g with a spring steel headband and central crown cutout, they're designed for extended sessions where fatigue is a genuine concern.

A recessed button inside the left earcup switches the H715 Reference into Hi-Fi mode, splitting the common ground so the included 3m double-entry cable with 4.4mm Pentaconn plug delivers balanced audio from differential amplifiers. Studio use is covered by a 1.3m coiled cable with 3.5mm TRS termination and 6.3mm adapter. The included Headphone Utility plug-in applies precise ADAM Audio calibration with adjustable crossfeed to help mixes translate to loudspeakers, while the ListenHub app handles streaming reference tracks, loudness matching, and mono/sides/balance checks. On macOS, the plug-in runs system-wide inside ListenHub for calibration across all audio.

40mm neodymium-magnet drivers sit behind woven steel mesh in an open-back circumaural design with angled positioning and lay-flat folding earcups. CNC anodised aluminium yokes keep the overall weight down while maintaining structural rigidity. Both magnetic soft cloth and faux leather memory foam earpads are supplied, along with a hardshell case. Cables, earpads and headband padding are all field-replaceable for long-term use in demanding studio environments.
