Sennheiser

For more than 65 years, the Sennheiser name has stood for top-quality products, true sound and tailor-made solutions for every aspect of recording, transmission and reproduction of sound. Sennheiser believe that music is to be heard, and felt.

With German engineering and decades of experience in innovative science, Sennheiser stay true to the sound and set new standards for headphones, headsets, microphones, and integrated systems.

The company was founded in 1945, just a few weeks after the end of World War II, by Fritz Sennheiser (1912–2010) and seven fellow engineers of the University of Hannover in a laboratory called Laboratorium Wennebostel (shortened, "Labor W"). Labor W began building microphones in 1946 with the DM 1, following up in 1947 with the DM2. By 1955, the company had 250 employees, and had widened production to microphone transformers, mixers, and miniature magnetic headphones. Labor W was renamed 'Sennheiser electronic' in 1958.

In 1968 Sennheiser released their landmark headphones, the HD 414, which propelled both the Sennheiser headphones brand, as well as growth of the company with over 10 million units sold, remaining even today the best selling headphones of all time.

When you mention the name Sennheiser in DJ circles, talk goes immediately to the famous Sennheiser HD-25 headphone. With its distinctive lightweight, closed-back design, this professional headphone had been the choice of DJs for decades. Look next time you’re in a club; chances are the DJ’s wearing a pair of HD-25s.

Whether you need a headphone that can stand up to the stresses of the DJ environment, a set of ultra-accurate studio cans or just the biggest sounding ear-buds around, we have a pair of Sennheiser headphones for you.
