The DJ-808 is a trailblazing new instrument that combines the deepest Serato integration available with the iconic Roland TR drum machine and sample sequencer to blur the line between DJing, performance and production.
With the release of 1.9.6 Serato has introduced a number of innovative new features including smart sync to DVS control, enabling you to sync your turntables or CDJ’s with the DJ-808’s TR-S drum sequencer, Serato sampler and your synths via AIRA link.
Kane is a Senior Product Specialist for the Serato Support team, with an additional focus on product demonstration workshops and providing technical support to the artists on the Serato Roster. He has a background in live sound and music production, having worked in a range of studios and live Venues around New Zealand.
These workshops are a great opportunity to have your questions answered by a Serato expert, and find out how to introduce live elements to you DJ sets, produce live remixes or mashups and take your DJ sets to the next level.
The night will include a hands-on session where we will take you through programming the DJ-808’s TR drum machine, sequencing samples and creative Serato control features such as Pitch Play, Beat Jump, Slicer and Key Sync.
