2013: Store DJ Sydney moves from Stanmore to Leichhardt. The new Showroom is much larger, offering us the opportunity to have a wider range on display, as well as a new, massive lighting section.
2016: With gear piled on top of gear, our Melbourne store is getting too small. Deciding to renovate, we push back the rear wall, making space for more gear on demo. Also our Brisbane store is ready for a refresh, so a remodel allows us to better accommodate our expanding customer base.
Continuing our growth, we purchase the iconic Melbourne music store Mannys in Fitzroy North. This expands our offering, with Mannys stocking more traditional instruments such as guitars, basses, electric drums and pianos.
2017: We open a second Melbourne store in Fitzroy North, above Mannys, giving our customers in Melbourne's north a convenient store location. Along with this we expanded our national office to accommodate our ever-growing online customer service team, allowing us to continue our commitment to providing the best service possible.
2018: A year of renovation and expansion as the upgrades to our national office are finished and the decision is made to open two new Mannys stores - Brisbane and Sydney. Work is started on upgrading the existing Store DJ location in Brisbane, in a new space above the original store, while Sydney will be moving to a massive new building in Alexandria, once an extensive fitout had been completed.
2019: Amid much excitement and expectation our new Brisbane and Sydney stores open their doors. Both feature a brand new Store DJ location upstairs with Mannys downstairs and are our largest offerings to date. The bigger spaces allow us to demo and display more equipment than ever before and both stores are adorned with murals of iconic musicians painted by local street-artists.
