The specialized silicon compound grips the vinyl and slipmat, but still allows the slipmat to slip on the turntable platter as normal. The result is instant. With theoriginalSP!NDOCTOR™ you can now cue and mix any concave 12" and 10" record with confidence.
The crew at Spintek have designed theoriginalSP!NDOCTOR™
to optimise it's function. It has a diameter of 10" and a width of
15mm. This produces a contact area on your vinyl record that eliminates the unpredictability
of beat matching concave records by gripping both the record and the
slipmat. The slipmat itself can still slip on the turntable platter.
The result is that your concaved records now have a consistent feel and
are no longer overly sensitive to touch.
A 10" diameter allows theoriginalSP!NDOCTOR™ to be used with both 10" and 12" records. When using theoriginalSP!NDOCTOR™ with 12" records it works without generating significant flex when handling your record. A 3mm thickness allows theoriginalSP!NDOCTOR™ to work on records of extreme distortion and offers 100% pickup on concave and warped records. The lag time experienced on start up with concaved records is eliminated.
For most applications it will not be necessary to alter the weighting
of your tonearm. Only in cases of exceptionally concaved or warped
records may some minor adjustment of your tonearm weight be required to
ensure the stylus remains reliably seated on your record.

Although flexible, theoriginalSP!NDOCTOR™ has been developed with a material that maintains its shape
at all times. This means it can be quickly placed on your slipmat with
one hand. It also comes in a custom clear sleeve for easy storage in
your record box. Remove the label and keep theoriginalSP!NDOCTOR™ in its custom sleeve.
